A small hike to Eze village

Another nice hike in the area of Nice. This time from Col de Quartre Chemins east of Nice or north of Villefrance sur Mer. I took bus 84 to Col des Quatre Chemins and the route actually starts right on the other side of the road. The total trip is only 6-7 kilometers and only with limited difficult climbs. Most of the trip is on gravel road and asphalt. However, it is a nice trip on the north side of a nature area called Parc Departemental de la Justice. The area is just above Villefranche sur Mer, Beaulieu-sur-Mer and Eze. However, there is no view to the south, but on the other hand there is a great view to the mountain ranges in the north, which is a very nice sight here in November, where snow has fallen on the high mountains

I can recomend to download the Outdoors gps France – IGN Maps app, which supplies a 1: 25,000 card directly on the phone.

After walking through the area, I arrive right at the start of Eze town, that is, the part of the city that is situated on the mountain and actually quite far up. So I had the pleasure of looking down at the medieval town of Eze Village, which you normally are looking up on when you arrive by bus 82 from Nice. It’s a really nice sight with the ocean in the background.

The trip took 1.5 hours from the bus stop until I stood at the foot of the medieval city. I then walked up into town, where most of the stores and restaurants are closed at time of the season, though there was a single restaurant that was open. So I had a nice lunch and then it was down to bus 82 to Nice.
